Album Notes
Take a little Sarah McLachlan and Jewel, mix in some Jennifer Knapp and Alanis Morisette, and you'll have a pretty good idea of Beth Champion Mason's sound. This emerging singer/songwriter packages her intriguing and often moving Christian lyrics in a style that appeals to the modern listener, believer and non-believer alike.

Performing since the age of 8, Beth got her start singing in churches. With the release of her first album "All I Have" in 2002, Beth will be getting some much deserved attention, not just as a great singer, but as a gifted lyricist with a well-produced album.

In "All I Have," Beth explores the mountains and the valleys of the Christian experience, and isn't afraid to pose hard-to-answer questions. From the guitar-fest anthem of "I Am Your Child," through the despairing cry of "Carry Me," to the quiet hopefulness of "Just Beyond," this album leads the listener on an emotional journey that ultimately comes full circle-back to the reality of grace.

The intensity you'll hear in Beth's live and recorded performances reflect the fact that each of Beth's songs is born from personal experience. She knows what it is to struggle with tough issues of faith and come out of each trial with a deeper sense of God's love and faithfulness. She is learning the freedom of resting in God's grace, and she shares that message through music that's fresh and relevant.

This CD rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is an amazing all-original worship CD. Beth takes you on a journey that is sure to change your life. There are so many different styles on this CD, and Beth performs all of the styles so well, that music lovers of any kind will be sure to fall in love with this CD. It is almost impossible to pick a favorite song! Beth is an amazing singer/songwriter/musician. This CD is awesome! You should buy it right now. It rocks!
Here is a brief overview of all of the songs on the CD:
1. I Am Your Child -- This is an excellent, energetic, guitar-driven, upbeat, inspirational song. It is about the realization that we are children of God and nothing anyone can do will change that. We can just be ourselves because God loves us just the way we are no one else’s opinion about us matters.
2. All I have -- “Have you ever felt like there is nothing new to say in a worship song? I have. But, I’ve learned that it really doesn’t matter what you say, as long as your heart is in the right place. Even the simplest words like Hallelujah will do.” ~Beth Champion Mason That is basically what this song is all about.
3. Psalm 107 – This song is mellower than the first, but this is still a great song. It is based on Psalm 107. (I bet you never would have guessed that!) This song is about giving thanks to God for all that He’s done. It talks about the fact that no matter where you are in life and what you are facing, Jesus is always right beside you helping you!
4. Ruler of the Universe – In this song, Beth asks questions that are mind boggling. They are questions that only God can answer. God uses this song to show us Jesus’ love for us in a whole new way! This song gives you a longing for Jesus and a desire to get to know Him better. It is a beautiful song, with piano playing gently in the background.
5. Good Enough – “Have you ever felt like your just never good enough? Well the truth is your not, and you wont ever be. The good news is that doesn’t matter because Jesus is good enough and he took all of our failures to the cross.” ~Beth Champion Mason This song is about resting in God’s grace or accepting that the sacrifice that Christ made is enough to cover our sins, and that makes it ok for us to be ourselves. This is a really fun song with a Latino-feel.
6. Carry Me – This song has would definitely qualify as hard rock. Beth sings surprisingly well in this genre. This song is about the realization that Jesus is what makes us complete, He is our hope and our light. We can’t make it with out Him. All you have to do is call on Him and he will “ carry you home”.
7. Beauty from the Ashes – This is a beautiful song. It was written for the survivors of 9/11. It is a wonderful song about how God can use anyone or any situation and turn it in to something beautiful.
8. What have I to Offer – While most of the songs on this CD are amazing and show you amazing things, the simple ones -- this one in particular -- lead you into worship. This song is just about offering Jesus your life, even when you feel like you have nothing left to give. The beautiful guitar strumming quietly in the background makes the song even more amazing.
9. I’ll Come Running (The Mama Song) – A Contemporary Christian song about a girl and her relationship with her mom. It is all about how a mom cares for her daughter, and is always there for her when she needs someone to cheer her up.
10. Just Beyond – This song has a style similar to the last. It is about Heaven. It talks about looking above you circumstance to what lies ahead.

Keep up the amazing work (I know you will)!!!!!!!!!!!!! You rock!!!!!!!!!!!

National Music Review

By Thomas Horn for NMR: Beth Champion Mason, a sound all her own
Portland, Oregon (NMR) - My wife and I thought she sounded like Edie Brikell. Others say Sarah McLachlan, Jennifer Knapp, or maybe even Alanis Morissette. Truth is, Beth Champion Mason is a sound all of her own - and true to the splendid core God gave her.

The nature of her album ALL I HAVE couldn't be better. Given the war in Iraq, a strenuous national election, bitter divisions between politics and religion, and the spread of terrorism worldwide, it's uplifting to hear Beth's simplistic yet hauntingly beautiful tones sing of a life of over-coming, her story being one of them.

Interestingly, Beth at one time put away the title song of her album "All I Have" after writing only the first verse. Months later, a unique acoustic melody came to her and "All I Have" was born again. The album has gone on to win awards and to create national exposure, eventually landing Beth on The 700 Club on Easter weekend, 2004, as well as many other opportunities to perform and inspire.

Last thought: In addition to being an accomplished vocalist, Beth plays the guitar and keyboards while packaging her intriguing Christian lyrics in a style that appeals to modern listeners, believers and non-believers alike.

Beth Rocks!
This CD is a really good listen-she covers a lot of ground musically, while retaining a connection with the listener about here real life experiences. She is obviously a Christian and writes from the heart. Beth is a solid vocalist & melodyist, and a good overall songwriter. I really like "All I Have" and "Carry Me". I have seen her live show and what you hear here is what you get live- honest emotional vocals and a tight groove! If you like to hear chick's rock- you'll love this CD!

Great sound - Awsome lyrics
Great sound. Love the lyrics. Production is top notch.

A Success
Beth has combined thought-provoking lyrics with intriguing melodies to create a successful project. I particularly enjoy the tracks “What Have I to Offer” and “Just Beyond”. Mark Skipper has done an excellent job with production, while Nate Jones (Lead Guitar) and Andrew Payne (Drums and Percussion) provide excellent musical additions to the project. I recommend the artist and the album!

Nice stuff
I like the production. The recording/instrumentation is very good. Her voice reminds me of Edie Brickell (I liked her so that's a compliment). I liked Carry Me and if you go to her website you'll get to hear Ruler of the Universe which is my favorite so far. Keep living and rocking for Jesus!
