ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes

After the success of the debut album by Beatrix Forbes titled Oxford & Beyond, Djinn Music is proud to announce the release of her second album which has been most suitably called “Piano Weekend”.

The album is full of classical and cinematic influences with fresh ideas, providing the listener with a most fulfilling insight into a collection of personal and original tone poems of memories from her early life in Holland up to her present day in the United Kingdom.

Forbes studied Piano at the Leiden School of Music and Ballet from the age of ten, and the innovative pieces on the album such as Etude in Zee minor and Eine kleine Finale carry the spirit of these early years of learning

This album comprises approx 73 minutes of sheer relaxing music, aimed to take you on a journey to Scotland via a vintage shopping trip in France to the Salamanca Plains of Spain.

Whatever place, mood, or time of year one listens to “Piano Weekend” it is most definitely an album that should be added to a Piano lover’s collection.

If you are a fan of Ludovico Einaudi, Michael Nyman or Yann Thierssen, then Beatrix Forbes should need no introduction.
