ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Based in Philadelphia, Beau Jazz is composed of experienced musicians who bring to the group a wide variety of musical backgrounds. Although Beau Jazz features primarily classic jazz songs, it colors its performances with bluesy tunes and a wide range of standards. Fronted by a French Canadian singer, Lucie Daigle, Beau Jazz is also known to surprise and charm its listeners with a number of French torch songs, as well as some original music. You will surely enjoy the last track on the CD titled "What Might Have Been". Penned by Walter Runge and Richard Tuttle, this original tune transcends musical genres and should prompt a real emotional response ...

After over 3 years of live performances, either as a quartet (vocals, piano, bass and drums) or with the addition of horns, Beau Jazz has acquired a reputation for delivering songs of decades ago as well as contemporary tunes with energy, soul and finesse ... "I loved your wide selection" is a frequently heard comment from people of different generations in the audience. From happy swing music and tongue-in-cheek songs that will make you smile, to deeply moving ballads and blues songs, Beau Jazz brings you music that will transport you to a different time and place.

Beau Jazz brings the classic American jazz vocal - and the music of post-war France - front and center, where it belongs.

JAZZ: de-mystified and perfectly delivered!

Go ahead, and listen to a few tracks ... You will want to bring us home with you!
