ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
The Beautiful Mothers have come to Seattle. Started as a long distance project in a triad of tapes, calls, and planes between LA, Seattle and Chicago, TBM is now solely located in the sewers of the Emerald City. This first album, Hikikimori, was released in Summer 2003.

In live shows, TBM have been likened to the bands Jesus Lizard and Portland's Wipers. Style-wise, the loosely-defined genre of "Midwest Punk" has been slapped onto TBM reviews. Strangled amongst the energy and sound, are lyrics written with poetic style found in the literary works of L'autreamont, Beaudelaire, and Hesse.

PLAY LOUD.
