Album Notes
A major compositional effort from Mark Hayes, published by Beckenhorst Press, that combines the traditional with 21st century expression. The six-movement (35-minute) work, dedicated to the composer's parents, looks to the eternal with hope and glorious musical vision. Its Latin text, with some English, is appropriate in both concert and worship settings. May be performed with piano, or chamber ensemble, or full orchestra. Requiem was first performed on May 27, 2013 in Avery Fisher Hall, Lincoln Center, New York, conducted by the composer.

Always a Mark Hayes fan
I've always been a fan of Mark Hayes' music and arrangements. This is by far the most beautiful work he has done. The recording is spotless. I'd love to do this work with my choir one day.
