Album Notes
“…through her act I get the sense that Becky’s reaching for empathy, but I think she tries to give that back in return. Her material is bawdy and dynamic. At the same time she tries, or at least gives the appearance, to maintain sensitivity. She seems to enter each new taboo delicately, with a symbolic gentle clearing of her throat, 'Not quite sure how to say this,' whispering 'Excuse me', then tires of the bullshit and kicks in the door with a sawed off shotgun screaming. I don't think she’s looking to change the world, but instead, talks to her audience like she does to her friends over drinks. Becky is a comic who has found her voice and leaves nothing to the imagination.” - the comedians magazine

Becky has appeared on Comedy Central’s Premium Blend, Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn, Shorties Watching Shorties, and A&E’s 15 Films about Madonna. She is also a Fashion Police writer for US Weekly & Life & Style magazine.

Female Comics Aren't Funny... Unless Their Name Is Becky Donohue
New York based comedienne Ms. Donohue could make a deaf mute giggle; and her new CD, Partly Yelling with a Chance of Breakdown delivers the goods!

Becky is a talented comic with impeccable delivery. Tales of her eccentric family, awkward relationships, and life in the city blow the roof off the dump where ever she performs. Now her hilarity can be heard on this convenient compact disc, so you or the deaf mute in your life can enjoy Becky's wit in the comfort of your own home with out a silly two drink minimum!

I love Becky's new comedy CD and you will too... Or else!

Funny shit!
I saw Becky perform live in NYC and I've been a fan ever since. The release of her CD is a big event for me, and it totally lives up to the hype. Cracking jokes on all of my favorite subjects: babies, the elderly, stroke victims, gay men, pick-ups, self-important douchebags, all of that shit is mad funny to me, and with this CD it's gonna be mad funny to you too!

Becky is the opposite of bad.
This is the funniest person I have ever heard in my entire life. I don't know what she eats, but I wouldn't be surprised if she shits salad, because the core of soul emits so much humor, that all impurities in her body vanish. She has truly brought my being to a higher state spiritually, emotionally, and physically. This is some of the funniest stuff ever captured on a sound recording.

Becks is the Bomb!
When I say she's the bomb I mean she's gonna explode comedy all over your little village of boredom. She is one of the funniest voices in comedy today. Ferocious, insightful, dark, silly and all around powerful, Becky takes no hostages. Yes, I'm using a lot of violent imagery to describe her. That's because she'll give your system that much of a shock. She don't play.

Sweet Baby Jeebus I love me some Becky!
Becky Donohue is one funny, fucked up, crazy, angry, slightly bitter, slightly bi, completely forthright, broad. Lucky for me, this is exacly how I like my comedy. She's like the female comic version of Waffle House hash browns: scattered, smothered, covered, sliced, diced, chopped, topped and really friggin' tasty at 4am, and all of it is evident on Partly Yelling with a Chance of Breakdown. Buy it now, or Becky may kill you. . . she is crazy, remember?

A Broad With Class
Nobody does it better than Becky Donohue. What you want in a comedy experience is exactly what she delivers in this CD: fun, intelligence, originality, and most importantly, LAUGHS. ALWAYS.

I am blown away that anyone can posses the combination of skills that she has. Charismatic in the way that only truly gifted people are who have found their niche, Becky Donohue is the Michael Jordan of stand up - slam dunking and dribbling passed pretty much everyone else with her unstoppable wit, bad-ass ingenuity, and fierce love for the audience.

She is a broad with class, and a comedy star of the first order.

Carolyn Castiglia

Fantastic comedy from a ballsy broad.
Given the fact that you can hear my laugh on almost every track of this album I'd have to say it's comedy bravery at its finest. As a young mother, "Arthur" gets me every time. My only hope is that Becky puts out another CD shortly so as to share her "Dead Friend T-Shirt" joke with the world.

Matthew Gallagher

Genuflect to this Comedy God
This CD offering from Ms. Donohue is a collection of rants and observations that are much more intelligent and honestly delivered than any other CD I have found. She is funny, bright and honest and that is the Holy Trinity of Stand-Up.

Chris Catania - Co-Host of "THE AUTHORITY" RADIO SHOW!

Bombastic, thought provoking comedy with a velvet glove delivery.
Becky's strength lies in her ability to connect to her audience, and in this CD, Becky flexes her Comedy muscles. She delivers the goods with a subtle intensity that snowballs into big laughs and truly enjoyable listening. Think of a night out with some friends but only much funnier and less drunk. If laughing is something you enjoy doing, than this CD is a must have.

Ken Simon

The best comedy in NY
Becky Donohue shares Lewis Black's ability to try and understand the illogic of human behavior and give it voice with perspectives that are hilarious and brilliant while at the same time loving about how nuts humans are as species. The comparison to Black is only there to serve as starting point of recognition because Becky's comedic voice is unique and distinctly hers. Her observations are specific enough that everyone can recognize themselves in what she's thinking. And her storytelling ability is also again served by her specifics. Add to this her timing, spontaneity, and a wonderful sense of fun, and this first CD becomes an opportunity to get to know a professional who will is sure to make many more. As laughter is said to add years to our lives, do yourself favor and buy this CD to live to a ripe old age.
