Remember Who You Are is the debut CD from new thought recording artist/songwriter Becky Durango. The majority of songs on the album are original tunes. It also includes a few cover songs that highlight the spiritual resonance of the album, including her own arrangement of the Beatles' classic, Across the Universe.

The album was born as she celebrated her birthday recording at the studio of 2 time Grammy Winner Ron Davis. It features 13 songs recorded with a full band, encompassing a variety of styles. Instruments include the soulful sound of the Hammond B3 organ, alto and soprano flutes; sax; clarinet; crystal and Tibetan bowls and bells; sarod; shakuhachi; bouzouki, violin, viola; and tabla. Jeff Pevar is featured on various guitars, dobro and mandolin.

Becky has performed around in the world, from Mexico City, to the Ukraine. This album is an expression of the many gifts received so far as she travels the road of happy destiny. It is her desire to share her experience, strength and hope with others and give back just a little bit of what Grace has given to her.

Becky Durango Has Heart with Spark!
Becky's authentic, graceful soul pours out in each note of these wonderful songs. Anyone who knows her will not be surprised that she has sent this beautiful loving light out to the world in her first CD. But how awesome that she has shone this light beyond her large circle of friends, sharing her stories and her soul with the wider world. I'm still deciding on which of the songs I love the most, but I know that I feel happier, more positive, and more serene each time I hear them. Becky Durango is a burst of pure love!

Congratulations
Becky Durango has a voice, at times, so delicate and pure, it feels much like a whispering assurance. It is this gentleness that serves her well on her debut CD Remember Who You Are. Durango captures the strength of stillness and the mood of serenity in such highlights as Truly, Sweetly; Closer and Closer; Divine Right Action; Communion and the Beatles classic Across The Universe. I hope an entire CD of prayerful chants is planned for a future recording.

Remember Who You Are Review
Becky Durango is not only a brilliant songwriter, she is a true musical spiritual soul. Her newest recording, "Remember Who You Are" speaks to anyone and everyone who is on or seeking to be on a journey of inner exploration. Her songs (most written by her, others with fellow artists and a couple by folks she clearly has made a musical
spiritual connection with) "neatly" divide themselves into categories: story songs, affirmation hymns, and meditations.
If she had only written amazing material, that would be enough. But her compelling voice changes and moves between songs -- daring us to
seek those changes within ourselves. The voice of the sweetest angel can summon us to our own purest plane...the mature woman's voice tells
us stories that bring our own struggling voice a place to live...the fun and rollicking sprite' voice reminds us that, after all, life is a
wonderful place to have a glorious ride this time around.
If Bonnie Raitt is reading this, she should immediately listen to "The Angel In You". I can't imagine a female recording artist who doesn't want to cover this song! And speaking of covers -- have Lennon and McCartney ever been covered better than in Durango's interpretation of "Across The Universe"? You will find yourself using Durango's music with your prayers, to pep you up when you are feeling down, to affirm
you when you feel you are on the right path and at other times to just have a great time being alive. Enjoy!

Very Professionally Done!
You did a great job bringing together the right musicians to enhance the beautiful arrangements of your music. Your voice is clear, true and strong. I especially enjoyed it when you varied the dynamics of your singing, depending upon the mood called for in your song. Congratulations, Becky
