Album Notes
Becky Hobbs was born and raised in Bartlesville, OK and is a Cherokee Nation citizen. She started writing songs at 9 years of age, and in high school formed “Four Faces of Eve,” the first documented all-female rock band in the state of Oklahoma. After attending Tulsa University, playing in a southern rock band in Baton Rouge, LA, and nine years of gigging and recording in Los Angeles, the “Beckaroo” sunk her boots into Nashville.

“Country music’s best kept secret,” is how People Magazine’s Ralph Novak, describes Becky Hobbs.

As a recording artist, she has had over 20 chart singles/albums, including “Jones on the Jukebox,” “Honky Tonk Saturday Night,” “Are There Any More Like You (Where You Came From),” and Billboard Top Ten duet with Moe Bandy, “Let’s Get Over Them Together.” She co-wrote “Angels Among Us,”(recorded by Alabama), and Conway Twitty’s #1 record “I Want To Know You (Before We Make Love).” Other songs of hers have been recorded by George Jones, Loretta Lynn, Glen Campbell, Emmylou Harris, Helen Reddy, Wanda Jackson, John Anderson, Janie Fricke, Lacy J. Dalton, Ken Mellons, Shelly West, Moe Bandy, Joe Stampley, Johnny Bush, Shirley Bassey, the Cherokee National Youth Choir, and more. Known for her high-energy shows, the Beckaroo has performed in over 40 countries.

Becky has composed 18 songs and co-wrote the book for the musical, “Nanyehi-The Story of Nancy Ward,” based on the life of her fifth-great grandmother, a Cherokee war woman-turned peacemaker in the 1700’s. It premiered in Hartwell, GA in 2012, and has had 3 subsequent productions in Oklahoma and Tennessee, with an upcoming return engagement in Tulsa at the Hard Rock in Nov. 2015.

Becky wrote "Oklahoma Music Shop" as the theme song for the cable tv show of the same name, sponsored by the Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame. It airs throughout Oklahoma every Saturday on Tulsa CW and KSBI in Oklahoma City. Due to numerous requests, Becky is selling the song as a single digital download.

Becky and her husband, guitarist/producer/arranger Duane Sciacqua, live in Nashville, TN.
