Piano-pounding, whiskey-voiced BECKY HOBBS ("Jones On the Jukebox") was born and raised in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. She grew up playing piano for her Sunday School class and formed her own all-girl rock & roll band when she was 15 years old. Her songs have been recorded by Alabama, Conway Twitty, George Jones, Loretta Lynn, Glen Campbell, Emmylou Harris, Helen Reddy, Shirley Bassey, Jane Oliver, Ken Mellons, Janie Fricke, Lacy J. Dalton, John Anderson, Shelly West, Moe Bandy, Joe Stampley, and more. She co-wrote the evergreen classic ANGELS AMONG US (recorded by ALABAMA) and has helped raise money for numerous charities. On stage she is a whirlwind of energy in a neo cowgirl outfit, playing piano, accordion and acoustic guitar. She has taken her honky tonk, rockabilly, western swing and killer ballads to over 36 countries throughout the world.

More good work from the Beckaroo
Best of the Beckaroo and Nanyehi were my first and recent introduction to Becky Hobbs. Enjoyed these immensely and downloaded a few more albums . . . so many great songs!! Songs From the Road of Life is an apt title for this album. Got a few chuckles from Girls Night In. Keep up the good work, Becky! Everyone Ive introduced to Beckys music has responded with very enthusiastic reviews.

I first heard Beckaroo when All Keyed Up came out and I was just blown away..loving Jerry Lee Lewis as much as I do, I was amazed at the pounding she gave that piano and it was way better than G-O-O-D.. The radio the way it is these days ya have to have XM if ya wanna hear the good artists and THAT is where I 1st heard "Kiss My Ashes" had that song in my head kept trying not to forget the lines, man it was Beckaroo at her BEST like I had not heard her rock in a while! But I was in for a 2nd shock, "Woman Gettin' Older" is the best "honky-tonker" I've heard in years! This IS an outstanding CD if you wanna cry, you can,"Time Stands Still" if you wanna 2-step,ya can "What Are You Doin' In My Dreams", if you wanna burn the place down with some good hot honky tonk music, then brother this CD is the one ya got2have in your stereo..Rockin' Danny Lee

What a Songwriter!
As you'd expect from her history, this is a very professionally played and produced Album. Becky is a tremendous musician and singer, and we sort of expect that. The real bonus is the songs themselves. TIME STOOD STILL alone is worth the price of the CD. It's a classic original melody with brilliant and moving lyrics. The entire CD is filled with great songs, that I think were mostly written by Becky. Add to that, a really unique energy that Ms. Hobbs brings to the project, can really be heard in the performance, and has us playing the CD over again, and wondering if we could catch her performing live somewhere.

Yoohoo, Beckaroo!
A fantastic blend of that "whiskey-voice" with that distinct Oklahoma twang -- don't care how long you live in Nashville, Beckaroo, you'll always be 'from Bartlesville, Oklahoma'! Every song has its own unique styling. Great lyrics -- by someone who has felt the pain and knows how to tell the story! And love the 'honky-tonk' piano, but behind all that is a gentle spirit that knows how to move you, how to make you laugh and how to make you want to get up and dance! This is one for every purist lover of true Country Music!

A conseiller aux vrais fans.
Becky, ah becky,
Je recommande cet album à tous les fans de musique country authentique, et qui en ont assez du style new-country aseptisé d'aujourd'hui.
Chez Becky l'on sent la joie de vivre de jouer et de composer dans la serénité de belles mélodies.
Je recommande cet album;
