Album Notes
Behind The Times is an acoustic trio whose different backgrounds bring together a unique and eclectic mix of music that includes bluegrass, country, jazz, popular and original favorites. Behind The Times performs throughout the Midwest. You may catch one of their weekly shows playing The Detroit Farmer’s Market on a Saturday morning during the Spring, Summer and Fall, and during the winter at Cafe 1923 in Hamtramck . Listen for distinctive arrangements of songs along with precise vocal harmonies.
Rachel Pearson was born in Waterford, MI. Rachel grew up singing in church and listening to country and bluegrass music with her family. With roots in Arkansas and Texas she enjoys 'music with a twang'. She is currently studying music education at Wayne State University. Rachel teaches music lessons and classes with an emphasis on children's and folk music. Rachel plays fiddle, upright bass and sings with the trio.

Ben Luttermoser studied Jazz at Wayne State and has been playing professionally 20 years. Luttermoser is widely accomplished – playing upright and electric bass, acoustic guitar, banjo and mandolin – both as a solo musician and an in-demand sideman among bluegrass, folk, jazz, blues, rhythm & blues musicians of Michigan. As a bass player, Luttermoser has toured extensively with renowned blues artists and has played with bluegrass groups as well as with many renowned Jazz ensembles. Luttermoser plays guitar with Behind the Times.

Benjamin Teague was born in Durham, NC. Benjamin moved around the Carolinas and Tennessee. He also lived in Baltimore and Louisville where he played in the cities' mandolin Orchestras, playing songs written for popular mandolin orchestras during the early 20th century. It is the influence of players and singers across nearly every genre that fuels Benjamin's performances. Benjamin plays the mandolin and a sings with the trio.
