Album Notes
About me: Beka Bronk and the Gin Hall Hustlers are an exciting new band based in Nashville, TN. The group’s songwriter and singer, Beka, is from Mukwonago, WI. She recorded the CD, “Cabin Fever,” at Curb Studios in Nashville, TN. Beka wrote, produced, and arranged all the songs. She then formed a backing band, the extremely talented Gin Hall Hustlers. This rollicking group of pros puts on a high-energy show, with a love for traditional country combined with rock-thanks to their pedal-steel, banjo, harmonica, fretted dobro, & violins. In June 2009, they were semi-finalists for the Lollapolooza “Last Band Standing” contest. The CD is meeting with critical success. The song “Trouble in Pants,“ (a saucy country dance number) made the first round of the finals of the worldwide Billboard Magazine song contest. “Trouble in Pants also won the Sonic Bids national “Remix” contest, earning the band a club remix version of their song by Miami producer Shawn Thomas. “Cabin Fever” has been getting good press. American Songwriter Magazine positively reviewed “Hollywood with Cowboy Hats." They've been featured in several blogs: Austin, TX music blog Texas Two-Groove music blog interviewed the group; in Rebeka Pulley's (Women in Radio) myspace blog, and Beka was featured in Ladies of Country Music blog & the L.A. fashion blog shannonspassion. The CD received the 1 review (out of 10 artists reviewed) in Music Connection magazine, with critics noting the songs “Padlock” & “Have You Got One for Me?” The band competed in the Nashville Music Masters Showcase. They were also the opening act for fan clubs of Joe Nichols, Emerson Drive, and Gary Allen during Fan Fair. They've played Tootsies, Paradise Trailer Park Resort, Cadillac Ranch, and Layla's (all on the famous Broadway strip); as well as John A’s, the Bluebird Cafe, the Commodore, The Muse, & the Nashville Songwriter’s Festival. The band has signed a non-exclusive licensing deal with Seattle music agency Audiosocket for representation in film, commercials, multimedia, & TV. The song “Runner,” already playing on Bree Noble’s WOS radio 365live.com, has been up to a “Spotlight” feature on that show, & recorded a WOS radio commercial. “Runner” is also played on the world’s largest internet station, www.wmvys radio.com, located in Martha's Vineyard. “Party 2 Crash” has been added to the Earl Clifton Radio show in Chesapeake, VA. The CD is also being played on Radio Lyon, France (“Trouble in Pants,” “Billy Wayne,”) Pongid Radio’s Top 20, 2nd Life Video Avatars. New fans are seeking out the band on Twitter, where their Tweets are now being translated into Korean, Hungarian, & Indian
