Album Notes
"Ben Denny Mo’s wah pedal of a voice reminds me of the playful rhythms of Jack Johnson, the grunts of Dave Matthews and Bruce Springsteen, the inflections of Michael Jackson, the croons of Sam Smith" - Mo Writes

Born in South London, but grew up in Malta, the music of the Island has been a big influence on Ben who from the age of 11 could be found hanging out with local Maltese groups.

Ben has developed his own unique guitar playing style and his playing and songwriting is influenced by the likes of John Martyn and Jimmy Page. His song Love Song for Aleppo could easily have been penned by Jimmy Page and Robert Plant.

His voice is his other gift, covering a wide octave range and with a delivery that can switch effortlessly between soft and powerhouse.

It is live that Ben is currently best known as a performer. He has played Glastonbury and Secret Garden Party, as well as twice at Omeara in London. Whether it is solo, with his band, or collaborating with Master Guitarist James Boyd, the reaction is always the same. His shows are not to be missed. His style is unique and whilst often reminding people of Ben Howard, there is more of an edge to Ben's music.
