Album Notes
This new album by Benjamin is dedicated entirely to the disastrous war in Iraq. It denounces the lies, the manipulation of public opinion and the crimes committed during the Bush administration. The lyrics of the song "La guerra che verrà" is a poem by Bertolt Brecht (© Einaudi Editore, © Bertolt Brecht-Erben und Suhrkamp Verlag).
Benjamin is the Author of "Ode to the Child" performed by the Symphonic Orchestra and Choir of RAI in Rome. Paul McCartney has recorded a transcription of "Ode to the Child" for his album "The Family Way". Benjamin write a hundred compositions of classical music, variety and movie soundtracks. I composed the musics and sang this new album "Iraq Backstage". He also plays the musical instruments on each track. Between 1998 and 2003 he also published in France, Switzerland and Italy three books on Iraq.
