ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
BenRaznick.com - Pianist, composer, recording artist and teacher originally from Boulder, Ben Raznick has taken a different musical route than most, training with piano professors for the last 20+ years here in the United States and across the world in Argentina, Brazil and Spain. Raznick's 2017 album release, Memory Maze, is a musical journal detailing pivotal life experiences, musically influenced by the international regions where he has lived. Much like mazes, Raznick's pieces have twists and turns throughout intricate passages. Many songs are designed like a puzzle, becoming increasingly challenging throughout, but with a solution at the end. Memory Maze was recorded in Barcelona featuring international artists from Spain, Cuba, and Argentina playing the violin, cello, double bass, bandoneón, and castanets. Featuring piano, vocals, cello and double bass, Raznick's following release, Back to Black, is a brilliant classical crossover rendition paying homage to Amy Winehouse, also recorded in Barcelona with international artists from Spain and Cuba.

Raznick is a blue check verified artist on Spotify, a member of the Recording Academy, and a recipient of Steinway & Sons prestigious 2017 Top Teacher Award. Raznick and his album, Memory Maze, were featured in 2017 on Spain’s Radio Sierra and Mother Jone’s Bite Podcast. Visit BenRaznick.com to learn more about his upcoming projects.
