Every Kind of Blue

by Tommy Bentz

Our fans liken us to Van Morrison, Allman Brothers, Stevie Ray Vaughn mixed with Elvis Costello, Lyle Lovett & Steely Dan with a distinct throw back to the Beatles. Southern Rock with amazing slide guitar, thoughtful lyrics & soulful vocals.

Album Notes
Every Kind of Blue is the third release for Tommy Bentz, an album written with a feel-good vibe, but with accessible lyrics that mean something more than your typical "boy meets girl" popular music. Tommy Bentz is comprised of a power trio, with keys playing the fourth member on many an occasion - the band's backbone includes a jazzy blues mentality infused with an intelligent southern jam rock sentiment. True musicianship echoes throughout the tracks from the thoughtful, introspective "Always on The Road" to the uplifting, hit-me-over-the-head with your insight "Floodgates". From the young guitarist looking for a new rock idol to the Gov't Mule fan searching for new slide guitar prowess, Every Kind of Blue is sure to reveal, tempt, appeal & appease...most importantly it will inspire.

HoneySweet Southern Rock Gets Down With Vintage British Invasion and It's All Go
This cd captures the inter-genre high-octane capabilities of one of the Midwest's very favorite regional dance/party/jam/blues/acoustic/festival/rock out bands. Tommy Bentz can play anything on guitar, and here with his long time globe-trotting bandmates, relives the sweet tones we all like to get down to ... on a hot summer night ... with a disc packed with very interesting, ...positive,, ...make-the-world-a-better-place ...truly...rock originals. Well worth the money, here, ... if only to say, "I bought the album that became a classic!"

My favorite numbers on this album feature the band hitting on all pistons - slide guitar, the drums, the bass, keyboards, vocals and harmonies...and the lyrics - better than "Lightning In a Bottle" - the lyrics help you laugh off the stuff that made you sit down and listen to the blues in the first place!!!
