Bethany Curve formed in 1994 and is from Santa Cruz, California. Murder! is Bethany Curve’s 6th release and their first since 2004. This record is arguably the purest expression of their music, bringing forward even more of Bethany Curve’s signature multi-layered guitar texture and narcotic guitar leads.

“I dream vividly and often. Each song on this record was inspired by a dream.” - Richard Millang

el gato #9:
Christopher Leath (aka el gato #9) has a method of mixing that combines sounds together from various genres, whether it’s live, dancin’ or chillin’ out. Composition, experimentation, and emotion are the core elements of his DJ style and music creation.
Christopher concentrates on the way multiple sources of media blend with the intention of producing a whole new melody and rhythm. Early influences like Mei Lwun (Solstice) and Tomas (Umoja) introduced Christopher to various sorts of hip hop, 80’s synth pop, ambient, downtempo, and house music blended together. Christopher enjoys just about all genres of music from different parts of the world and eras.
Reconstructing prerecorded songs developed into the search for original sounds to include in his mixes. This eventually led to composing those sounds into his own tracks. Initially, his orchestration consisted of stone, metal, wood, drum machines, and synths filtered through analog devices. As technology advanced, digital systems were added to his arsenal of instruments.

Uchuu Saru:
Uchuu has been actively DJ’ing since 1999 delving into a variety of underground dance music throughout his path. Influences such as Derrick Carter and Gagarin helped him mark the standard on proper mixing and track selection. His ability to match and compliment each record arrived at his earliest attempts as a DJ. His performances on the turntables at small house parties and smaller club venues constantly left the dancers and fellow DJs impressed and buzzing for days following.

Uchuu’s quick adaptability with anything involving music came from his exposure to the guitar and piano at a very young age. Most of his family has this talent flowing naturally. Over time, he began composing his own tunes. Some of this time was dealt playing Bass guitar with a band. Other times, his work developed into joint and solo projects.

His recent tracks are very solid and well thought-out. His years of training and experience emanate from every song he produces and mixes. His contribution to the "el otro mundo" music archive is very appreciated and much anticipated.
