ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
This project is dedicated first of all to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and secondly to two dear friends who passed away just before it was finished: Denise Thomasson and Drew Wall. I’m sad I can’t play you this music here, but you were each an inspiration for it. I hope God plays it for you in heaven. Miss you and love you both. Of all my music projects, I think this one took the most time, effort, blood, sweat and tears (a lot of tears)…so thank you to my sweet husband, Lance, for your patience and your listening ear and your hugs, and for always encouraging me to chase my dreams and my calling, no matter how crazy it makes our life. I love you! Thank you to my crazy-talented songwriter friends who lent their efforts to this project by co-writing some of my favorite songs on it: Kevin, Rachel, Rosie, Julie N. and Julie K. – I’m so grateful that God let us meet and grateful for the songs we’ve been able to write thus far. Here’s to many more! Thank you to the late Cindy Wilt Colville and her enduring legacy of nurturing and growing songwriters – without you, I never would’ve met any of my co-writers on this project! I like to think you’re smiling down from heaven to see some of the fruits of your labors of love. Joe, I can’t believe this is the 5th project we’ve worked on together – what would I do without your amazing guitars and thoughtful arrangements! Thanks for providing more than just dependably awesome session work, but also a keen ear and insightful input. Johnny, thanks for mixing it up nice for me and putting your special sauce on it, making it sound like “mom rock” should. JoAnna, thank you for offering your incredible talent for capturing pictures and for making me look better than I actually do! And most of all, to my Heavenly Father, thank You for calling me to do something that I love, and walking with me through it every day. You see who I really am, and You love me anyway. I will spend forever thanking You.
