ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
This 18 song CD from Beth Styles is a collection of original music for Shabbat, Holidays and the Soul. It stands alone as a unique compilation of styles and moods that enhance one's enjoyment and celebration of Jewish moments, and it is also a great companion to her music book by the same name – which contains 30 songs.

Many of the songs for Shabbat were composed for “The Shabbat Experience,” a spiritual journey of music, meditation and prayer created by Beth. There are stirring tracks for the High Holy Days that transport the listener to a deep place of reflection and connection – such as “Sh’ma Koleinu” - and two songs that were among the winners of the 2016 Shalshelet Award for New Jewish Music “Yehi Ratzon” and “U’Chtov L’Chayim”. “You are My Light” and “Zochreinu” are two of many songs that were written and used for “Neshama Yoga” (Jewish spiritual yoga created by Jackie Tepper). “Heal Us” and “Grateful” are songs often sung by Beth's "New World Chorus," a 30-voice multi-faith choir who spread love, light and unity through song. Beth's music is beautiful, inspirational and powerful. It touches the heart, elevates the soul and opens the listener to new understandings about love, joy and meaning.
