Album Notes
Album Notes:
Late Bloomer is a little Trop Rock, a lot Americana, with some rock, pop and folk stirred in. We’re calling it “American Fusion”! And you’ll find it genuinely original. And “A-Merry-Confusion”.
Beth Travers has history as a studio musician, a touring musician, and a songwriter around Nashville and before that New York. Songwriting was always the prime objective and singing the vehicle. Being a bass player and a mandolin player bought the groceries, the gas, and the stuff. Finally, the time has arrived to just be Beth, the songwriter. The “Be Yourself” Era has officially begun. Beth is Fly.
“There is so much good music in this world already… How can I be so cocky as to do a songwriter project and not include a few of the greats—Paul Simon, Bob Dylan and Get Together writers Chet Powers and Dino Valenti…?” We cut 17 sides of which three are covers. They are amazing renditions, but it’s the originals that really make Beth Travers unique! And 17 was too many, hence there is already an EP following Late Bloomer!
