ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Betsy Rose is a singer, songwriter, mindfulness teacher and engaged Buddhist, whose insight, warmth, wit and wisdom have added a wealth of songs to the world of folk and progressive music for over thirty years. Contemporary cultural visionaries such as Thich Nhat Hanh, Matthew Fox, and Joanna Macy have included her music in their work.
Betsy sings with and for a world in transition, from the intimate losses and renewals in our lives, to the societal and global transformations that bring crisis and opportunity to our doorstep. Spiritual, political, personal- her music spans the many dimensions that make up a life and a world view. This is music that accompanies your own changes and challenges, that puts our sometimes inexpressible longings and grievings into musical poetry.

Your voice and songs added immeasurably to the quality of the program at our Annual Meeting. You definitely have a “healing” touch!
-Margaret Clausen, California State Hospice Association

I wept as I listened to Music of Family/Healing and Recovery. What a amazing voice! Betsy Rose is blessed to touch the hearts of all she comes in contact with, and used to heal.
