Album Notes
My work rises from several springs: a life in the theatre ( Santa Barbara, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Anchorage ) where I received accolades and awards, raising my two son's in Alaska on a shoe string (haul water, cut wood ) and my travels to the lower 48 after living "in Country" for so many years. I grew up singing with my sister and mother, especially on long car trips. My singing has been a tool and comfort throughout my life. I now have discovered the bliss that will take me on down the mountain: songwriting and singing it !
My musical influences draw from 60's Folk, Opera, Jazz, Appalachian, Blues, Spoken Word, Musical Theater, Traditional, World Music, & Vaudeville. I love all kinds of music !
I recently have had the good fortune of receiving encouragement and mentoring from Joe Craven, Keith Greeninger, Eric Bibb, and Devon Sproule.
Whether singing accapella or with folks coming on in along side, I fetch up laughter, tears and everything in between. If I go, I want youl to come with me !
