Album Notes
Dan and Betsy enjoy creating neo-soul tunes containing conscious, insightful--and sometimes playful--lyrics, with innovative and retro grooves and instrumentation that make you want to get up and move. Dan and Betsy have been heavily influenced by the funkmeisters of Old Skool, as well as gleaning the best from current R&B, soul, and jazz artists.

Growing up in Montgomery, Alabama, vocalist and songwriter Betsy Warren cultivated her musical sensibilities with compassion and social consciousness – yet some of the lyrics on her atmospheric, retro R&B/pop album SEE ME are also playfully romantic. She and her co-writer and co-producer Dan Hunziker tap into multiple genres – among them, contemporary jazz, neo-soul, and old school funk – to create dynamic landscapes for Betsy to showcase her sultry voice. SEE ME is a delightful way to time travel from past to present and back again while discovering a remarkable new artist.
