Album Notes
In 1999, Bettina Schelker released her first solo album «Durst». She recorded and produced the album herself and released it on her self-founded record label, «foundagirl records». Over the next few years, the self-made woman blossomed and released five additional albums. The former street musician won the John Lennon International Songwriting Contest in New York in 2007. Winning this award opened doors for her, including opportunities abroad. The singer/songwriter and guitarist gained stories and adventures with concerts in Europe, America, England and in 2011 as a headliner of a well-known folk festival in Australia. Between her various international tours, the 2004 Swiss Boxing National champion in the light middle-weight class, found time to write «Wenn Du Lachst», which she wrote for the band «Menschenskinder». This single reached the itunes charts in Germany. In 2011 she teamed up with rocker, Thomas Baumgartner, and founded the band „The Blackberry Brandies“. The highlight of this collaboration was the show opening for Eric Clapton at the Baloise Session in Basel in November 2013. "Now What Maybe" is Schelker's 6th Solo album.
