ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Relax to music composed specifically for experiencing that moment of eternity when the world of matter falls away and your heart enters the world of spirit.

Between the Worlds is a one-woman project creating mystical, magical music from the heart. It was formed by Chagall in 2003 to create evocative soundtracks for use in films and games. Now in 2014 renamed Kirrivath, a word from her childhood dream world that means "Five Lands" or "Royal Vessel" in it's own language.

ONE is the first album by Kirrivath and features ten pieces with varied instrumentation, from simple flute or voice to a rich tapestry of instruments, synths and tribal drumming.

The album contains influences from the genres of Native American, Asian, Renaissance, Celtic, Folk, New Age, Film and Game Soundtracks, Chamber Music, and Spiritual Chants.

Featuring the hauntingly enchanting voice of Chagall, ONE is truly a feast for the soul.

In 2007, Between the Worlds/Kirrivath decided to place the music online as open source audio, so that it could be used freely for nonecommercial works such as amateur videos, computer games, etc. The license is Attribution-Noncommercial-No Derivative Works 3.0.

Music from ONE is used as the soundtrack for the "Valley of the Shadows" film trailer by Frank Fradella.

Now Between the Worlds/Kirrivath is working on the next album after receiving donations of equipment from devoted fans. To donate if you feel like it or to enquire about commercial use of any tracks, please contact Chagall.

Surprisingly good...
This CD is definitely a break from my usual listening choice, which goes to show how good it is. I didn't find the music as uplifting as I did haunting, actually. The instrumentation is pretty good and the vocals are excellent, the low quality samples simply do not do Chagall's voice justice. While the "traditional" songs were well done, I was also quite interested in her original work that shows she has some real composing ability, which I would really enjoy hearing more of in her next album.

A Deeper Discovery
I've had no idea of your musical sensitivity, and your vocal ability, in the years that I've known you. Pan flute (sampoñita) is special to me, reminiscent of Machu-Picchu and Cusco. Your compositions are nothing less than the best I'd expect from you. A happy discovery.

P.S.: I insist on a recording session, sometime within 2006.

This relaxing and uplifting collection of songs reminds me of Enya.
The flute, harp, and skillful vocals are but a few of the sounds that will serenade you in this ethereal collection of songs. From the instrumentals to the wonderfully crafted lyrical songs, this CD will relax and uplift your spirit. The songs range from the mysterious to the magical, the lovingly simple to the simply enthralling, and almost hypnotic to the absolutely beautiful. They remind me of Enya. This CD is well worth the money. The only thing bad that I can think of is that it leaves you wanting more. I hope the artist will make another.
