ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Beth Fitchet Wood had many silly songs in her repertoire, and too few places to perform them, until her friend and co-Honk band member Will Brady had the bright idea to put them all on an album and call it a "Children's Album". Thus Beth was finally able to give proper attention to some tunes she had loved all her life, including songs from musical comedy, rock and roll, folk songs and jazz, all with the common thread of childishness.

She, Willy and her husband Steve indulged their predilection for odd noises, including chickens in the tub, tongue clicks, whistling, toy xylophones, tap dancing, kazoos, birds, and of course, pots and pans, and came up with some delightful music. The resulting CD is one of Beth's favorite works, ranging in tone from energetic and playful to relaxing.

"The more you listen to it, the happier you'll feel. A perfect way to depressurize yourself. (five and a half stars out of five stars)" Jim Otto, Daily Pilot.
"Pure, plain-beautiful singing" Mike Boehm, L.A. Times.

Beth Fitchet Wood is a singer, guitarist, composer and producer. She was in the Southern California band "Honk" in the early seventies, who released three albums and toured nationally with Loggins and Messina, Chicago and the Beach Boys. After Honk, Beth played in just about every conceivable musical format, in most conceivable venues. No casinos. She also toured the world as a background singer.

Aside from this Childrens' CD, which is a compendium of two childrens' cassettes produced in the 1980's, Beth also recorded an album with her girls group "The Girls" entitled "That's What Dreams are For" in 1988. During the 1990's, she recorded an album with her guys group "Zero Ted" entitled "Sacred Cow", then recorded her own CD of mostly original music, "Silos", in 2000. She has also sung background on other artists' albums, on IMAX soundtracks and commercials.

She lives in Laguna Beach with her husband, plays live solo and with her group "The Girls" and occasionally with her old pals in Honk.

It's just the best
These are wonderful songs, sung beautifully, with wit and humor that kids (and adults) can enjoy --as my kids and I have, for a long time..
