Album Notes
With a multi octave voice and storytelling lyrics, Bianca Jade's latest record ‘East 3rd Street’ combines a rustic blend of acoustic blues, country tunes & feminine folk. Named after a street in New York City where Bianca toured for two months this year, the EP features six songs which share Bianca’s tales of love, leaving the country and exploring new places.

Born and raised in Perth, Western Australia, Bianca grew up in a house passionate about the arts. Her love for music and live performance led her to study music at the acclaimed West Australian Academy of Performing Arts, emerging as a solo artist.

Mid 2004 Bianca teamed up with renowned producer Shaun O'Callaghan at Studio Couch to begin work on her debut solo EP, ‘Taste It’. Working with her band of musicians, the Taste It EP showcases six tracks of a personal and poetic nature. The music reflects Bianca's appreciation of the soul, rock, folk and jazz worlds.

In September 2005 Bianca spent six weeks in New York City and London promoting the EP and performing. She played at world-renowned venues & was featured on Podcast NYC - one of the largest podcasting related sites in the USA streaming a wide variety of audio and video content.

The success of this first solo tour took Bianca back to the USA in 2006 where she spent two months (May – July) concentrating her efforts on the NYC music scene. The tour included performances at the very famous CBGB’s Gallery, Piano’s Bar in the Lower East Side, the very popular Arlene’s Grocery and the Bitter End in Greenwich Village to name a few. Podcast NYC featured Bianca again, even more prominently & from this exposure other online radio stations have invited Bianca to be played on their programs.

With her newly inspired sounds from NYC Bianca came home to make her second solo record with Shaun O’Callaghan at Studio Couch. Moving away from the big band sound Bianca wanted to explore more of an acoustic & intimate vibe.

Bianca performs with a variety of musicians and is a regular on the Perth music scene. Whether playing with her band or as a solo artist you will always find her with acoustic guitar in hand, a soaring voice and a personal quality. She is the little girl with a big voice.
