Love Big Kid, Love CD Baby. I agree with Scott Weiner on this page for the most part. The new singer and direction doesn't make it bad, just different.

Power Pop At It's Finest
If you are a fan of the power-pop genre, you won't be disappointed with this release by Big Kid. Catchy lyrics and solid musical performances make this one of those CD's that only get better each time you listen. Personally I am tired of all the mopey crap on the radio now, so it's refreshing to hear something positive and upbeat. Check it out, you won't be sorry!

Where have you been all of my life!?
So, I got turned on to Big Kid the other week when their song "What Can I Do" was playing on a friend's iPod. I went ahead and bought this new one after previewing the tracks here, and listened to it like a maniac in my car during my move from Connecticut to Santa Cruz.

DAMN!!!! I'm still listening to this CD over and over again, like a drug (if you could listen to a drug). From the powerful kick-off of "Gold" all the way until the theatric "Hollywood Star", every song on here is sick. Hooky, gigantic sounding, musically deep, and even moving at times...thanks, guys, for rekindling my hope for modern music!

Listened to the preview tracks
The lead singer is not the same as the first two albums... that much is obvious. Also, the music barely sounds like the first two albums. This sounds like a different group to me. I think the first two albums were fantasic and was excited when I was alerted of this new one... but it's not the same.

At the same time - I can't say it's a terrible album - just not what I was looking for.

One of my top albums this year.
Absolutely KILLER CD. I was a big fan of their last one, but "III" just takes it to a whole new power pop level. New singer is wicked, as are the songs and sound. They have more of their own vibe on this release, and it's a killer.
