ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Big Shout Outs To Big Shot Reub & The Reloaders: What The Press Says About…
“ROUNDHOUSE BLUES”

“ I plopped this CD into the player and hoped for the best, and low and behold I was pleasantly surprised with just how good of an Album "Roundhouse Blues" turned out to be. I also picked out something very obvious about Reuben Vigil, and that is, that he his an extraordinarily good guitarist, whom is not afraid to show off that skill throughout this album, especially on Track 5, "C", an instrumental, bordering on a classical theme and Track 2 "Love Comes Knockin', in which his guitar comes off with flavors of Stevie Ray Vaughan. In addition, Reuben Vigil's music is also a nice diverse mix, even including a Latin song for Track 3 "Viva Bracero", “a tribute to the unskilled laborers that helped rebuild America after the Great Depression”. Overall, I was very impressed with "Roundhouse Blues." BLUES UNDERGROUND

“Out of the San Diego area, Mr. Vigil gives us a tour of his world and influences ranging from the band’s theme song ‘Big Shot Roll’ which hits starts shuffling along and then hits full stride as Rube makes references to ‘eyesight to the blind’ and a ‘quake at 6.19′. If that wasn’t enough he advises us to ‘turn up and the heat and turn down the lights’ HAH yeh brother I hear ya ! This ten-song release shows how the multicultural influences of various types of music can be a splendid thing indeed. I am looking forward to hearing what Reub and the Reloaders have in their case for next time.” BLUES 411

“Talk about some classy blues.. Yeah Baby !!! Now this is the stuff that you look long and hard for. Also, if you like virtuoso guitar then this is one albums you need to get. The recordings on this cd are pristine and all the tunes are very-well thought out and bring a kool eclectic feel to the overall mix. This music is the real dealio. You know, one of those album that when your ready to chill you can listen to over and over again and not get tired of it. If you like B.B. King, Jimmy Vaughan, Kim Wilson, Eric Clapton, Carlos Santana, Elvis Costello and Katz like that, then I'm sure you will be intrigued listening to the exquisite flavorz on this fine outing. I mean Vigil has the goodz and he really knows how to deliver them to your inviting ears. This 3 piece band leaves you wanting nuthin' but more of their feel-good music. There isn't one bad groove on this cd. The musicianship and instrumentation is second to none.” CASHBOX MAGAZINE

Big Shot Reub & The Reloaders/ Media Quotes Page 2 of 2

“There's a red hot blues band out of San Diego, Ca. & their name is Big Shot Reub & The Reloaders. Fronted by guitarist/vocalist Reuben Vigil, this powerhouse trio really packs a punch. There is not a single track on their new CD, Roundhouse Blues, that I did'nt find in it's own way to be absolutely wonderful. I fell in love with the fantastic rhythms & riffs created by Reuben on guitar accompanied by the tight beats & bass lines by Ric Lee on drums & Jodie Hill on bass guitar. There is a multitude of sounds showcased on this CD. From the finger snappin' & toe tappin' rhythm of "So Much Inside Me", the beautiful spanish guitar flavor of "Viva Bracero" to the melotic & hypnotizing sound of "Celestial". This CD covers all the bases & I personally can't wait to hear what they have in store for us next. Well done y'all!” CROSSROADS BLUES

“Sometimes the best blues is what's being played at any given time in any given place. If Big Shot Reub and the Reloaders happens to be on the bandstand some evening when you walk into their place of employment, order a beer, break open a bag of beer nuts, and sit back and enjoy the music.” BLUES BYTES

“There is a quality guitar slinger on the Blues horizon, and you should know his name: REUBEN VIGIL. Rockwired is proud to have Big Shot Reub and the Reloaders as noe of our nominees for
June Artist of the Month.” ROCKWIRED RADIO SHOW

“Every once in a while a gem pops up like Big Shot Reub & The Reloaders. When I find those gems I do what I can to let others know about them…!” GOLD RADIO NETWORK

Just right!
Not too slick, not too raw. Songs that you'll swear have already stood the test of time. A fresh voice on the guitar that nods to the past while avoiding the worn out cliches. It's all here in a package that I can't seem to leave alone. It's rare I dwell on a new CD, that's reserved for older classics, Ladies & Gents, I give you a NEW classic....................................just right!
