Album Notes
"Green Eggs and Ham Blues" is a tribute to elementary students and the joy of discovery. Bill Burns is an elementary music teacher and wanted to put that love of teaching and wonder into a jazz blues. "Way Beyond What You See" is a reminder that the best things in life are the things we cannot see. "Just No More" is a tribute to music and the great escape it gives us all. "Birds' Lives" is a tribute the bop master, Charlie Parker. "Live and Let Go" is a message told in the bossa nova tradition. "All of Me" is simply a fun tune that Mr. Burns has enjoyed playing for over a decade. "Angel's Waltz" is a tribute to the artist's wife, Carrie and all her love. "A Child is Born", "The Pink Panther" and "Cottontail" feature the Unity Saxophone Quartet.
