Album Notes

Well written, thought-provoking songs for kids and adults, pets, and anyone who breathes and enjoys playing with words. These are songs that will exercise your mind and foster discussion between parents and adults.

"The Wish", a haunting tale of a child realizing the responsibility of having the power to make one wish come true, has been included on a compilation CD of songs to address issues of hunger and poverty, along with songs by Pete Seeger and other artists.

"House of Ideas" is from the group of Bill's songs that looks at positive side of learning disabilities.

"The Singer and His Son" has brought tears to the eyes of many parents who seek to teach their children through their own experiences.

"Someone to Come Along" reaches any person who has ever felt 'different' and left out.

"Seventeen Giraffes" is a song which presents a mathematical puzzle, and shows that sometimes kids can help teachers learn.

The same mastery of cinematic story-telling songs which have made Bill's adult CD's (Crest of a Wave, High School My School, and Cityscape) so enduring and broad in their appeal is evident here, in this kid-friendly musical world, with many hidden references to the Wizard of Oz...

This is the second in a series of three related CD's,
"Songs for Kids Who Like to Think", "Songs for Kids with Common Scents", and "Songs for Kids Who Touch the Stars".

There are recurring characters and musical themes that tie these together.
