ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
This CD and "Music for MuTanTs" were 15 years in the making. Most songs were composed between 1992 and 1996. A few, like "Goblin Dance," "Galactic Cathedral" and "The Origin of Life" were written this year. "Reunion" was originally written in 3 days during a Holiday visit by my Brothers, Mother, and Nephew in Hermosa Beach. Some songs were influenced by the Laser Light Recordings from Voyager called "Symphonies of the Planets vol 1-5." I highly recommend the series. Solo Piano versions of "A Long, Long Time" and "When Will I See You Again ?" can be found on the CD's "Grain of Sand" and "Piano Sole" respectively -- available from amazon.com.

All the arrangements were polished a little for this release, but many have withstood the years quite nicely. I hope you enjoy this CD as much as I enjoyed creating it. I suggest listening to it late at night when the lights are low and the doors are locked. Just relax and close your eyes...

The subtext for this CD is the story of getting abducted by Aliens. In the first song we are introduced to the Aliens, the second song is the unsuspecting family gathering on Earth. The fourth song is the abduction itself. This abduction is also like an "out of body" experience and in track five we see souls migrating from planet Earth to their next destination. We pass Saturn and travel through the space time continuum to strange planets in other galaxies. Finally we travel back to the Origin of the Universe itself where the Secrets of Life are revealed. And just as we see how all the mysteries fit together, we are startled and wake from a deep sleep, back in our own familiar bed, back home. Our memory is incomplete and we suspect it was all just a dream, except for that huge crop circle in the back yard and the sunburn on our face.
