Album Notes
Bill Thibeault is a singer/songwriter living in Norwich, CT. He is also a survivor of the USS Frank E. Evans, which collided with the Australian aircraft carrier, HMAS Melbourne during the early hours of June 3, 1969. The Evans and Melbourne were participating in the SEATO Exercise Sea Spirit a short time after leaving the gun line in Vietnam. The Evans received a commendation ribbon for her mission during the war. At approximately 3:15am on June 3, the Evans accidently crossed the bow of the Melbourne and was cut in half. The front half of the ship sank in less than 3 minutes and 74 sailors were lost. To this day, because the location of the collision was just outside the combat zone, the 74 have been excluded from the Vietnam Wall. "Where's The Glory" (The Story of The USS Frank E. Evans)" is their story.
