Album Notes
internationally acclaimed new york poet BILLY LAMONT teams up with Heart Of Darkness and mayfairgrin to release this poetic and electronic masterpiece, 'painkiller'. through his thought-provoking and intimate spoken words, billy exposes his heart and leads the listener on tour through the darkest of emotional locations to lands of hope, light, and faith.

the opening "universeheartgracelifewonder" is an epic, 35 minute ambient piece that blends mayfairgrin's tribal rhythms, cinematic soundscapes, and ethereal melodies with billy's enrapturing voice taking center stage.

"hungry ghost" and "shadowbox" follow with backing music provided by both Heart Of Darkness and mayfairgrin.

"hungry ghost" turns the sonic pages with beautiful piano, analog synth, interwined with trance-inducing dancefloor electro from both, and heavily processed vocals.

"shadowbox" is an excursion into darker waters with rhythmically aggressive gothic electronica; complete with ghostly piano, furious violin, and distorted spoken word ala Skinny Puppy.

the journey may have begun with the salt and soil of earthly rhythms, however "the power to dream" drifts into the heavens of distant space and stars, closing this stunning album with music provided by Heart Of Darkness.
