Album Notes
Bipolar Explorer is an NYC-based minimalist indie rock band, cited by Ground Control Magazine as "taut, emotional, urgent and altogether haunting" and PopMatters as "eclectic, steadfast and powerful - making new and truthful music". This Xmas single, a new arrangement of the traditional carol "O Come, O Come Emmanuel", was recorded in New York December 2013 for immediate release. A drummerless electric trio, Bipolar Explorer's sound has been described variously as shoegaze, dream pop and minimalistic indie rock. Their most recent full-length, a double-album, "Of Love and Loss" was released last year. Bipolar Explorer is: Summer Serafin (vocals), Michael Serafin-Wells (lead guitar and vocals, bass, percussion) and occasional guest musicians. A new EP is expected from the band sometime in mid-2014...
