ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
BISQUERA BROTHERS
(bis-kera)

When the Bisquera Bros. first began making music together, it was evident right away that something very special was happening. Because of everyone's busy schedule, their infrequent performances were inspired and magical. Immediately, a buzz began in Los Angeles that six of the music business' top musicians had joined forces. And from the beginning, if felt like a family..hence the band's name.

Curt Bisquera-drums
In the past 13 years, Curt Bisquera has become one of the most sought after drummers in the recording business. Music legend Jeff Porcaro recognized Curt's ability early on and began recommending him. His feel and approach to songs can be heard on numerous hit singles and has been seen on many television specials, including the recent Joni Mitchell tribute. Curt's credits include Bonnie Raitt, Elton John, Mick Jagger, Ricky Martin, Tom Petty, Paula Abdul, Delbert McClinton, Carl Perkins, Tina Turner and many, many more.

Leon Bisquera-keyboards
Curt's cousin Leon Bisquera is the founder of the Bisquera Brothers and composer of many of the band's compositions. Leon is a master keyboard artist, having toured the world with Jazz great Randy Crawford. Other performance credits include Chaka Khan, Boney James, The Bus Boys, Brothers Johnson, John Waite, and Gary Wright. His compositions can be heard on CDs by Rick Braun, Boney James, Warren Hill and Richard Elliot.

Reggie Hamilton-bass
Both in the studio and on tour, Reggie has worked with the best. His musicianship is unparalleled, which is why his credits read like a who's who. They include Boyz II Men, Stanley Clarke, Christina Aguilera, Seal, Bette Midler, George Duke, Maxwell, Sheila E. as well as film soundtracks Passenger 57, Anastasia and Living Out Loud. Reggie is now touring with producer/songwriter Babyface and Whitney Houston.

James Harrah-guitar
James possesses that chameleon ability that every guitar player strives for. Known for his intriguing, creative textures, James' talents have been heard on many recordings. Recently recording and touring with Jewel, his eclectic credits include sessions with Herbie Hancock, Peabo Bryson, Valerie Carter, Peter Cetera, Ray Charles, Andrae Crouch, The Commodores, Kenny Loggins, Madonna, Vonda Shepard, Wilson Phillips and many more.

Albert Wing-woodwinds
Albert Wing belongs to the elite Frank Zappa band alumni. Anyone who knows the Zappa legacy knows this means virtuoso talent. One of the best saxophonists in the world, Albert has worked on five Zappa recordings as well as sessions with Paula Abdul, Michael McDonald, Flo & Eddie, Scott Henderson, Howie Mandel and Johnny Guitar Watson. Most recently, Albert has been busy touring with Diana Ross, The Manhatten Transfer and The Divine Ms. M, Bette Midler.

Rich Mangicaro-percussion
Classically trained, Rich's musical approach is to decorate, lift and color the song, utilizing various ethnic instruments. Rich's recorded work includes soundtracks for Tristar/HBO Pictures, Lifetime TV, UCLA Films and recordings with the Go-Go's Gina Schock, Jon Butcher, actor Jeff Bridges' first CD and Bob Seger vocalist Laura Creamer on her upcoming debut CD. Rich has performed with The Drifters, Jon Butcher, Jackson Browne, Max Carl, Vanguard recording artists' Venice and has toured extensively with The Eagles' Glenn Frey and Joe Walsh.

funky, jazzy, ... nice mixture
Good CD to listen to while relaxing. Every time you listen to it you´ll find out details you didn´t hear before. Especially the guitar playing of James Harrah is fantastic. Cool, funky but never with to many notes. I would give it 5 stars if there where more songs in the style of the second tune on it.
If the Bisquera Bros read this: Go out and record that live in a small club. I think these tunes played live would make them even greater.

Bisquera Bros. Fan :-)

I found this CD to be very musical and original!
The keyboard playing is phenominal, as well as the guitar playing!!! (sexy, yet exciting). If I were a bass player, this would be the "go to" CD.
Larry Graham better watch out!!!
Albert Wing is by far the next "big" thing in my book!!! (WOW)...
The drum playing is "average" at best....percussion (go Rich) helps though throughout this CD.
Buy this....FOR SURE!
