Bolton (Blackman Preach) a visionary who has produced and arranged each track on the album and has been compared to The Last Poets, Haki Matabuti, Nikki Giovonni, and Amiri Baraka. The State of the Ghetto Address is a spoken word album that fuses Hip-Hop sensibilities with the Black Arts/ Black Power Movement legacies.
