Live in NYC
A good time for a live recording so as to look back on the career of the Black River Band. I was surprised by the number of tracks that weren't on previous albums but as it turns out that Christmas comes early this year. Such tracks as Garden, Have Mercy, and The Price of Progress have the Band's signature written all over them. Others like Heart Like A Wheel and Miracle show the depth of song writing power in this band. After this we all know that there is a wealth of music ahead for this band and as a fan I eagerly await further releases. The songs that are some of the band's best like Got Lucky (My favorite), The River Runs Deep, Everyone Has A Dream, and Full Circle are proformed live in this intimate setting in New York City. For the first time we get to hear the band live. The strength behind those songs comes through in a very energtic show. This is a must have for any fan.

Live In NYC
A well timed entry into the career of the Black River Band. I was surprised by the amount of material I hadn't heard before. However it works two fold in that it says the Band's writing and song library insure that they will be around for quite a while to come yet. Second the deversity of the new music states that said writing will only enhance the band's legacy. From the songs we (the fans) would know verisons of Got Lucky, The River Runs Deep, Everyone Has A Dream, and Full Circle come off great in this intimate live setting. Showing that the band can create the same energy that is behind their recordings and bring them on full force in a concert setting. The new material like Garden, Have Mercy, Miracle, and the Price of Progress have the same vision and foresight that all the previous songs carry with them. Christmas has come early this year! If you're a fan of this band this CD is a must have for the collection.
