ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
CC Thornley has been described as "Melbourne's meanest banjo player." Duttigalla Exile is the first album of his original project The Black Swans of Trespass.

The band is a 4 piece essentially. Electric and acoustic guitar, upright bass, drums and led by CC's urban, post modern 5 string banjo playing fuses all genres, but subscribes to none.

There are elements of bluegrass, mento, jazz and blues but the album never strays too far from it's own idiosyncratic identity.

CC is one of Australia's foremost new-garde banjoists, and this first album is sign of great things to come in songwriting and technique.

Their second album, The Coward's Songbook, is now out as well.
