ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Hailing from the swampy city of New Orleans, Blato Zlato is a New Orleans-based conglomeration of three-part vocal harmonies and Balkan instrumentals. The band performs folk and composed music from the Balkans and Eastern Europe, with a particular focus on Bulgarian songs and improvisational, dreamy, full-energy arrangements.

Their debut album, "Swamp Gold," was released in Jan 2017 and features dark, original arrangements of traditional melodies from Bulgaria, Serbia, Bosnia, and Turkey, as well as improvisation, original composition, and sounds from the swamp.
