ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Blue News is a high-energy Blues / Rock band with a unique style heavily influenced by the Blues. The band was formed in a small town in the Midwest but their debut album was quickly co-released in 2006 by Statue Records Group of Hollywood, CA. Their original songs feature clear Blues roots, catchy guitar riffs and infectious chorus hooks. The band's original sound is rendered from various musical influences, including; The Black Keys, Beck, Eric Clapton, Credence Clearwater Revival and The Allman Brothers Band, among many others.
The band's signature sound quickly reached national media exposure with the release of "The Signs" EP in 2007. Two songs from the EP were placed in the documentary series "Roadtrip Nation" which airs on national television. Other episodes of RTN have featured artists such as Jack Johnson and Sufjan Stevens. Their first radio exposure also came in 2007 when the band worked together with Vigilant Promotions of Minneapolis, MN. This brought their sound to college stations across several states and led the way for the band to play live shows in new areas.
In recent new, the band has released their 3rd album titled "Strange Light" and has just signed a publishing deal with INgrooves Licensing / Universal Music Publishing. The deal offers new opportunities to place their songs in TV / Film, advertising, video games, mobile devices and more!
