Album Notes
Room with a View is a soulful funky blues album showcasing the dynamic duo of John Carswell on Hammond B-3, Piano, and vocals, and Jud Sherwood on drums.

Songs like The Danger Zone, Let's Stay Together, and Room With A View of the Blues, never sounded better.

Blues By Two is soul southing groove machine of John Carswell on Hammond B-3 and Vocals, and Jud Sherwood on drums.

Carswell is one of the funkiest and smoothest musicians plying his trade in the Northwest. He can make you smile in a heartbeat, or make you cry so your heart just skips a beat...and his groove is infectious and keeps you moving from the moment he sings a note. He's the real deal.

Sherwood and Carswell perform regularly throughout the Pacific Northwest.

There must be more than 2 guys doing this. (?)
I love it! A nice fat sound with great vocals and a tight drum line! You guys sound great!

John and I go back along way,in the 70's and 80's we lived in Juneau,Alaska where we became friends and through CD Baby I found him again.I use to follow him from gig to gig, this CD brought it all back and his voice has not changed at all, still smooth and still dead one. A couple of the tunes on the CD are from his set list from those days and I can see him with that big grin and laugh with his foot stompin' when the band is in the pocket and the funk is so thick it covers you like a warm blanket. I'm glad to see he's still out there,if you want the real deal from Macon,Georgia check him out!

My CD from CDBABY arrived in a Brinks Armored Vehicle and was escorted by two uniformed guards to our front door. After placing the CDBABY package on a gold silk pillow we walked in to our home in a processional complete with a baroque string quartet playing in background, hired for this special occasion. After burning the correct amount of incense we placed the platinum disk in the brand new state of the art CD and Stereo system that we purchased specifically for this occasion. The CD played flawlessly as the unmistakable sound of the soulful Hammond B3 of "BLUES BY TWO: Room With A View" echoed throughout the cathedral ceilings and wafted out of the doors and windows into the sunlit day past beautiful Monarch butterflies returning from their Journey to South America. They seemed to be gliding and flitting to the beautiful music so lovingly delivered by CDBABY. This CD is a Winner-Buy It!
