ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Spunt’s instrumental guitar based music has been featured on ESPN, and the Surf Channel, and featured on FM Radio, including Los Angeles’s 95.5 KLOS (Local Licks show). Spunt has taught guitar, as well as performed studio work, in addition to his original compositions. His focus is on writing and recording original, powerful, emotional based music.
Inspired by many great composers, including Roger Waters, Joe Satriani, and many others, spunt’s compositions take the user on a listening “experience” and a journey through human emotion.
With a focus on composition first, and virtuosity second, spunt’s music as a whole stands out, as opposed to “wowing” the listener with fast riffs, although there is plenty of virtuosity for the lead guitar aficionado to rejoice in. Spunt started playing piano at age 8, and started playing drums at age 12, and then moved to the electric guitar by age 15.
As mentioned previously, Spunt's original music mixes influences of Pink Floyd, Joe Satriani, Enigma, Enya, Ritchie Blackmore, Many others, and a lot of originality, to create a fresh unique style in the world of Instrumental Rock Guitar. Make no mistake about it. Spunt's roots ARE in Rock and Roll, but his style, influences, and original compositions span the realms of Rock, Classical, Trance, Electronic, Pop, Opera, and the Blues. He blends these influences together to create a unique cross-style.

The release “Rebirth” is an all instrumental CD featuring guitar as its main “lead” instrument, taking the role of melody lines within the compositions. To augment and add to that, “Rebirth” includes a number of tracks featuring the amazing voice of Lori Moran. Lori is a solo artist, professionally trained singer, and studio session vocalist. Her vocal performances on “Rebirth” go from an Alto to an Operatic soprano, to powerful emotional wailings and beyond!! Together with Spunt’s emotional compositions and soulful guitar work, "Rebirth" makes for a powerful, unique musical experience.
