ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
In His Time: I have had many situations where I did not know the reasons why I was going through certain things. I have won cases I should have lost, I have lost cases I thought I should have won. It may take weeks, months or years, but eventually I get a follow up and a light goes off - "Oh - that was what God was doing in that situation" - and I did not see the total picture at the time, but having it revealed over time is really neat when it happens. Much thanks to Jonathan Evans on bass guitar, and Elliott Clark on banjo, and Bethany Lengacher on violin. This song is applicable to each song on this album, and I can tell you stories exemplifying that.......

Recording engineering and production assistance was given by my good friends, Jay Mosier, and Doug Shepard. I could not have accomplished this project without them.

Waiting on Marissa: One of my favorite songs. Written for a good friend who was waiting for a child, and not knowing if it would be from adopting, natural, or otherwise.....there are quite a few times I have been "waiting on the Lord". Answers are not always what I want - and most often the answer is, to wait. Much thanks to Bethany Lengacher on violin. The Lord answers, even though we wait......In His Time.

Every Wednesday Night: Dear Ruth Clark runs the church cafe wonderfully - and we have had a Bible study on Wednesday nights over the years, and this was written to be a commentary on that (perhaps a bit of an ad). Discipleship happens best regularly and with guidance and if you follow, you seem to grow almost without noticing it. It is a very safe and fulfilling place to be. the Lord teaches us what is needed........In His Time.

I Am With You: Again, from weekly study and application to daily life, received and applied - In His Time.

This Lifelong Race: Some cheesy lyrics - but still applicable.......as He gives grace, In His Time.

He'll Meet You Where You Are: we do not need to travel to Him.

Forgiveness Song: This completes the 4 songs on study and application on this album.

Teddy Bear: This one has some age to it - like me! Written for a very dear friend who was going through a hard time back then......and has been living "happily ever after" for quite a few years now. I will not name her - she knows who she is.....

Whenever I Look Into Your Eyes: for Sheron, as always.......I wrote this in the Solomon Islands, missing her, in the middle of the night in the middle of a clear ocean with lots of stars - knowing that her eyes out shone all those stars........He brought us together, In His Time.....

Like A River Glorious: I always wanted to play with my dad - and he plays organ on this song, which was his favorite before it became a family favorite. I wanted to release this long ago - and was not able to, for many unrelated reasons......the Lord took care of that, In His Time........"You can trust Him wholly, it is all for us to do......they who trust Him wholly, find Him wholly true. Amen.

Prayer 1: I wrote this song about my first meaningful prayer. I had many influences in my life - many prayer warriors including my parents, but also importantly my other relatives, grandparents, aunts, uncles, teachers, professors, friends, Mr. Martin, and other names like Pastor Golz, David Mattson, Pastor Duke, all Pastors current and past, Pastor Randy Rainwater, and so many others who brought me to a new life - In His Time.....

The Canadian Fishing Trip Blues: OK, this one is fun - written from true personal experience - we need to do a video of fishing to go along with this asap. Much thanks to Jeremy Fisk on harmonica and Nathan Barrow on drums. The voices at the end are my brother Bruce Arnold and I, and his son Kyle Arnold and my sister's youngest daughter, Lauren Hannah, who provided great cookies regularly on the fishing trips!
