ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Solo, duo and quartet tracks by a jazz trumpeter steeped in the traditions of warm, lyrical improvising with some originals and a classical piece thrown in.
"...fantastic synthesis of spare, articulate lines, supple lyricism and masterful technique, with a concentrated approach that sounds thoughtful without being overly cerebral. In an ideal world, a player of Arthurs' caliber wouldn't be overlooked."
Jon Morgan, Cadence Magazine.

Jazz History in the Making
The 4 jazz pieces for solo trumpet by Bob Arthurs make this album a particular outstanding, intimate and most rewarding listening experience. Very convincingly performed and close to lyrical perfection, he doesn't leave notes behind him to be imagined or wished for. A fitting approach for an artist who does leave something behind him after all: jazz history in the making.
