Album Notes
A native of Newark, New Jersey, Bob's early introduction to the piano inspired him to write songs of his own—pounding out tunes in the living room of his parents' small apartment as early as age 4. (God help the neighbors). It was at college in Boston during the folk-rock renaissance of the '80s that August kicked his songwriting into high-gear, melding his melodic McCartney-esque influence with the acoustic sounds of the day.

Eventually, August arrived back in the Big Apple, writing songs and gigging around Manhattan and North Jersey by night. By day, he could be heard on New York radio—and occasionally seen on TV.

The tracks on "Christmas Here" were recorded in Nashville during 2002 and feature the talents of, among others, Gary Talley of '60s "white soul" supergroup "The Boxtops" on electric guitar—and on acoustic guitar and Hammond B3, Clive Gregson of legendary '80s punk-rock band "Any Trouble" and renowned folk-rock duo "Gregson and Collister." There was only enough material available for an EP—but it sounded pretty damn good so we decided to release the effort as is and knock a few bucks off the price. Enjoy. Buy yourself a coffee.
