Album Notes
Just as the four seasons combine to make a year, the four musicians on this recording combine their talents in compliment to one another. These very different arrangements of Christmas favorites, new standards and original tunes make this collection a very merry mix for the holidays. Enjoy the music and have a wonderful holiday season.

The Bob Boyd Sounds, Bob, David, Pat and Randy, have been playing as a unit for some 7 years now. Each year, they play more than 100 wedding receptions and anniversary celebrations, birthday parties and company functions, and also have presented their show in numerous locations. Their music is an eclectic mix that includes pop standards, big band swing, 4 part harmonies a la the 4 Freshmen and Manhattan Transfer. At each performance, their goal is to present a series of pleasant surprises, and to bring back memories of happy times. Don't expect their songs to sound alike. They are frequently told "I liked every song you played!"

Bob Boyd, pianist and vocalist, has been a working musician in Arkansas for over 50 years. David Higginbotham, string bassist and lead vocalist, teaches at an elementary school, is a church music director and also plays guitar. Pat Henry, trumpet, trombone, flute and vocals, is a teacher, music director and piano technician, and also plays most other instruments. Randy McDonald, drums and vocal, is sound engineer at Zanbeck Studios, and also plays piano and bass. The "Sounds" have commercially released one other album, "The Bob Boyd Sounds Like Requests." You may learn more about the Bob Boyd Sounds on their website, www.boydmusic.com. There you will find a current calendar of their upcoming public concerts, and you may also order their CDs.
