Album Notes
The road to Nashville and Bobby's songwriting success was paved with the relentless efforts of indie label, Vision Records, and its dedication to exposing the music community to Bobby's talent. Having successfully sold and regionally distributed two CDS, "I Mean Business" and "A Lil Country" to the western U.S., Vision Records introduced Bobby to the Nashville songwriting community by pitching songs to hit songwriters Paul Nelson and Larry Boone at a songwriter conference in Northern California. Met with encouragement, Bobby's manager at Vision Management doggedly pursued leads to get Bobby's songs and attention-grabbing live and recorded performances to country music audiences on a national level. Bobby was first signed as a songwriter to Sony Music Publishing in Nashville followed by Vision Management's successful efforts at securing a second songwriting deal for Pinson at Mosaic Music (now Stage 3 Music.) Pinson has proven himself to be the songwriter and artist that was first recognized, and encouraged, by Vision Records as early as 1993. More than a decade of persistent efforts by his early supporters helped make him the proverbial "overnight success." His long time fans remember the clubs (Jack’s Steakhouse), the festivals (Gilroy Garlic Festival), the fairs (Marisposa, Tulare, Stanislaus, Santa Cruz) and hours of dedicated service that Bobby’s team, including his hardworking band, devoted to running the Highway 101 corridor helping him reach a national spotlight. Thanks to "Wild Man" Pete Wise, Marty "The Hammer" Carpenter, Jim Lewin and Ramona DeSalvo, Pinson finally made it to Nashville. These folks’ willing and tireless contributions to pave the way for Bobby will not be forgotten by Vision Records, who proudly presents the early efforts of a talent-in-the-making. Mostly, thanks to all of you - both the new and the "we remember when" fans - who continue to buy the records! You're a blessing! To contact Vision Records, click on the email link below.
