ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
This record is a follow up to my previous records, "Decline And Fall Of John Q Sportcoat" and "It Gets Weirder Every Year". In this project I pulled the tempo and mood definitely UP with a nod to 60's soul ("Used To Know A Girl Like That"), the Sir Douglas Quintet, Louisiana underscored accordion-based songs as well as a couple of bluesy, dark ballads. All in all a departure from the 2 most recent cd's, but a welcome, upbeat collection.

Excellent CD
This is some of Bob Girard's best; with a consistent smooth Zydeco-influenced sound throughout the CD and a number of excellent and memorable tunes. Two of my favorites are 'If Anyone Knew,' 'Party Girl,' and the wistful closer 'I'll Never Stop.'
