Album Notes
Bob Ryan and Terry Hann began performing together in 2010 in venues around the Phoenix area. Since then they've played coffeehouses, festivals and other small venues. Their complementary musical gifts are well suited. Songwriter Bob Ryan brings a wealth of original material to the group's setlist, while also providing lead vocals and acoustic guitar. Terry Hann is a one-man acoustic tour de force, filling out the arrangements with guitar, harmonica, bass, banjo and mandolin.

"Rough Mix" presents seven songs, all penned by Ryan, that give a nice overview of both their stage repertoire and their range as artists. Hann is everywhere, adding color and musical depth to the recordings while Ryan sings with a sincere urgency that gives every lyric its due. The two seem to be having a great time.

A pair of guest artists also add their two cents, with fiddle champ Michael Cirillo providing a light, homey fiddle on "Sleeping Through the Night" while Jeff Chupp adds a rolling banjo to the frenetic romp of "It's the Law."
