Album Notes
Retrofitted is the debut solo release from artist Bob Savage, an accomplished guitar player with a wide range of musical experience. Outside of playing in hard rock and metal acts such as KAOS, K.G.B. (Kids Gone Bad), Hirax, Cold Blood and Weapon 13, Bob has done studio work for projects ranging from folk to thrash metal.

While Bob’s style is firmly rooted in the hard rock and metal genres of the late 70’s and early 80’s, with influences such as Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Led Zeppelin, Van Halen, UFO and many others, the evolution of both his writing and playing have taken on many modern influences as well. Bob thought it appropriate to sculpt his debut solo release around these varied influences, and thus, the "Retrofitted" concept was born. This CD was created with the concept of an “album” in mind. Not from the perspective of a storyline, however, but that of a musical adventure. From the opening licks of “Zion” to the dramatic end of “Munchies,” the listener is captivated by the wonderful, and at times, wacky moods that Bob develops.

Retrofitted is an independent release, but make no mistake, this CD exudes professional quality throughout and holds its own against current mainstream hard rock and metal offerings. This is an album that belongs in the collection of any fan of the electric guitar and heavy/hard rock instrumentals.
